In November last year, the Gateway Partners reported that there would be a delay in completing the new Leisurezone development.

Visitors to the Harvey Centre got more than they bargained for on Friday 27 February with members of Harlow’s Gateway Partnership Board there to update them on the progress of the £50m regeneration project.

Harlow’s Gateway Project, the £50m regeneration scheme which is bringing much-needed housing and leisure facilities to the town, came runner-up in a top national awards ceremony.

The Harlow Gateway project which is bringing new homes and leisure facilities to the town has been shortlisted for a national award.

 

CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMME PASSES HALF-WAY MARK AND HEADS INTO THE HOME STRAIGHT

With Team GB's success in Beijing fresh in the memory - and with London gearing up for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics - construction of Harlow's new ‘Leisurezone' sportcentre has passed the half-way mark and is now heading into the home straight.

 

Young athletes are making good use of Harlow's new athletics track at Mark Hall Community School & Sports College. Developed as part of the £50m Harlow Gateway Project, this brand new eight lane, county standard track, forms the focus of a major training programme for schoolchildren in the town.

Harlow's exciting new £25 million community sports and leisure centre is coming closer to completion day by day and, for anyone passing the site, there has been a noticeable change. With much of the groundworks completed over the winter, contractor Leadbitter has started work on the steel structure and the building's steel skeleton is taking shape.

 

Construction of Harlow's new £25 million community sports and leisure centre started today (Friday 14 September) with Board members of the Harlow Gateway Partnership coming together to celebrate another major milestone for the Gateway Project.

 

Members of Barratt Homes and the Harlow Gateway Partnership recently gathered to mark the launch of Barratt's £100 million Fifth Avenue development at Burnt Mill, Harlow. The new development, a major part of the Harlow Gateway regeneration project, will bring much needed private and affordable new homes to Harlow.
