Football StadiumHarlow Town Football Club moved into its new £3m stadium at Barrows Farm, in September 2006. The purpose built stadium features a new pitch, main stand with seating and covered stand for 3,000 spectators and is on the outskirts of the town, a mile and a half to the west of the club's old Sportcentre location, its home since 1960. After clearance from the Ryman League, the club played its first senior match at Barrows Farm against Ware on 18 October 2006. A highly successful first term at Barrows Farm was complete when the Hawks gained promotion to the Premier Division of the Ryman Football League at the end of the 2006/7 season. Building on this success the team made it through to the first round of the FA Cup in the 2008/09 season, losing to Macclesfield Town. The new stadium features a bar and conference facilities and is designed to offer a wide range of sports and social facilities to benefit the community as a whole. |
